With Earl Scruggs at his house (Thanks Jack Hatfield!) where I got Earl to sign my first edition, hard cover Sgruggs instruction book with his name misspelled on the cover… (See closeup on right.) I was going to ask him to misspell his name the same way but chickened out! Earl was a very gracious man but that probably would have been over the top.

If you look closely you’ll notice that “Scruggs” is spelled “Sgruggs.” It’s that way on the dust jacket and flyleaf too. Alan Munde owns a soft cover one misspelled the same way.
